ENAMO GRIP
MSDS Sheets

DESCRIPTION:

ENAMO GRIP is a tough, medium speed, moisture curing, two-component polyurethane enamel, which produces a uniquely hard and durable coating film. ENAMO GRIP will demonstrate unsurpassed semi-gloss retention, color-retention, and chalk-resistance, when utilized for exterior coating situations. ENAMO GRIP will provide outstanding resistance to water and humidity, stains, chemicals, and solvents, as well as tremendous scuff-, mar-, and impact-resistance.
Ideal for use on bridges applied over RUST GRIP or by itself for complete encapsulation of the metal, providing protection from rust and corrosion for a minimum of 20 years in normal circumstances. Resistant to hail damage and similar abuses that create opportunities for rust and corrosion. Completely UV-controlled and weather-resistant. ENAMO GRIP is a self-leveling formula for an outstanding finish. ENAMO GRIP can be used on flooring for a tough, long-wearing surface but precise measures to insure a completely clean surface free from moisture and residues must be adhered to.

In summary, the overall toughness, durability, and weather-resistance of ENAMO GRIP polyurethane enamels, make them the ideal choice for demanding product applications for architectural/maintenance situations that require the utmost in exterior durability. ENAMO GRIP is an ambient/slow moisture-cure coating.
APPLICATION METHODS:
Surfaces must be clean and dry before application. Any surfaces with loose or flaking old paints or corrosion must be removed before applying. High-pressure water-blasting is as effective as light sand-blasting in removing loose or flaking surfaces if you use 5000 psi. As a rule, "a coating is only as good as the surface it covers." Grease, oil, waxy substance, dirt, etc. must be cleaned from surfaces. Old paints can remain if bonded solidly to surfaces. ENAMO GRIP can bond to metal, masonry, wood and other porous surface substrates. ENAMO GRIP can be applied best by brush, squeegee or foam applicator. Airless sprayers can be used using a 24-thousandth tip for a smooth, even finish.

Dry Time: 1 hr-to touch / 4-hrs-to handle/2 hrs-recoat
Cures by: Slow moisture cure, non-reactive.
Non-Skid element: The formula of resins will lay out and self level into a    beautiful, evenly spread, gloss finish (no brush marks). Even though    the coated area looks glossy, the surface is not slippery, even when    wet. Minor exceptions for some hard shoe soles, of course.
GRAFFITI-PROOF Resistance: After ENAMO GRIP has been applied    and allowed to cure for at least 24 hours, applications of "Krylon" spray    paint, Magic Markers, etc. can be wiped off completely with Superior's    specially-blended graffiti cleaner. The color white may show a slight    shadow but all dark colors are completely clear of graffiti markings. ENAMO GRIP can withstand years of graffiti removal as it is not affected    by solvents and does not breathe--to allow spray paints or oils to    penetrate its surface. Use Keytone or MEK solvent to remove graffiti    from its surface.
Catalyst ratio: This is a two-part mixture. Mixed 1 part curing agent to 3    parts base. Mix on job site before application. Pot life is 6-8 hours at    77F degrees.
Packaged unit: Shipped as a 4-gallon kit. Three-gallon base in a pail with    a gallon can of curing agent separate. On job site, pour the gallon of    curing agent into the 3-gallon pail of base and mix to have a finished    product mixture of 4 gallons. Let set for 30 minutes, then apply.
Clean up: Solvent wash to clean equipment. Use MEK or MIBK to clean    equipment.

IMPORTANT: All surfaces must be clean and completely free of moisture and residues of any kind. For flooring, it is preferable that the first coat is mixed 50 / 50 with MEK solvent to anchor then apply the top coat as normal.

COMES READY TO MIX AND USE, NO NEED TO DILUTE OR THIN.
