DESCRIPTION:
Tough adherent, two-component Epoxy coatings, which produce hard,
yet flexible coating films. EPOXOTHERM will demonstrate excellent chemical- and solvent-resistance when utilized in harsh atmospheres, and will also provide outstanding water- and humidity-resistance.
EPOXOTHERM will adhere tenaciously to a variety of substrates, such as carbon steel (phosphated or non-phosphated), wood, and concrete. EPOXOTHERM is made with the same ceramic compounding as
SUPER THERM for insulation effectiveness equal to 4-6 inches of batt insulation materials. EPOXOTHERM has ceramic compounds in the formula to reflect sunlight, as well as to slow heat conduction from
radiant heat sources. The ceramic compounds also help this epoxy formulation to withstand the UV effects of the sun that will chalk all epoxy formulations.
APPLICATION METHODS:
MIX IN CURING AGENT INTO BASE, THEN LET STAND FOR 30 MINUTES BEFORE USING. Power wash using SP-WB Cleaner before
applying. Surfaces should be clean and free of dirt, oil, and loose or flaking materials. Apply with airless, air pot sprayers, roller or brush. It
has a pot life of 8 hours, and has a drying excelerator in the formula for faster dry time and re-coating. VOC is 378 grams/liter, well under the
codes. Can be applied to clean, dry or moist surfaces, but designed to be applied to damp or wet surfaces without loss of adhesion ability.
Excellent for coating dams above and below water level to control thermal shock to concrete, which creates cracks over time and destroys dam integrity. IMMEDIATELY UPON JOB COMPLETION, FLUSH
EQUIPMENT LINES AND UNIT WITH SOLVENT(MEK) TO PROTECT FROM PRODUCT CURING INSIDE MACHINERY. Let dry 24 - 48 hours. Completely cures in 10 days.
NOTE:
When used in exterior coating applications, #ME Series products may chalk and lose gloss.
MSDS Quick-View: • Flammable liquid • DOT #UN-1263
• Lead- and chromate-free
APPLICATOR SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Applicator must, at all times during use, wear a Bureau of Mines-approved, 2-stage (charcoal and cotton) paint spray respirator,
designed for removal of organic vapors, or a fresh air-supplied type of respirator.
Protective clothing and protective eyewear (goggles) are recommended.

OF SPECIAL INTEREST:
• Outstanding adhesion • Good solvent resistance - can be washed down • Excellent flexibility
• Self-priming • Excellent impact-resistance • 6-8 hour pot-life • Must remain white for insulation
IMPORTANT:
Do not apply over chlorinated rubber or where chlorinated rubber has
been. Even after sandblasting, the chlorination can attack the solvents and brittle the coating.
