DESCRIPTION:

Tough adherent, two-component, 52% solid by volume, pigmented Epoxy coating which will produce a tough, yet extremely flexible coating film. This epoxy product was built to withstand the toughest chemical and solvent situation areas, as well as to provide outstanding water- and humidity-resistance.

This coating will adhere tenaciously to concrete and metal, and can be utilized in masonry applications for best results: warehouse flooring, concrete block walls and blasted steel.

APPLICATION METHODS:

MIX IN CURING AGENT, THEN LET STAND FOR 30 MINUTES BEFORE USING. Surfaces should be clean. This Epoxy product is user-friendly, in that it may be applied by roller applicator, and may even be applied to damp or moist substrates without fear of adhesion loss. Additionally, these products will exhibit a pot-life in excess of 6 hours. LINING-KOTE 6000 is extremely environment-friendly with a VOC of 3.45 pounds per gallon. IMMEDIATELY UPON JOB COMPLETION, FLUSH UNIT AND LINES WITH SOLVENT(MEK) TO PREVENT PRODUCT FROM CURING INSIDE MACHINERY. Let dry 24 - 48 hours. Completely cures in 12 days.

NOTE: When used in exterior coating applications, LINING-KOTE 6000 product will chalk and lose gloss. This does not mean the coating is deteriorating, just that epoxy formulas are not UV-controlled.

IMPORTANT:

Do not apply to chlorinated rubber. Even after sandblasting, the chlorination can attack the solvents and brittle the coating.

APPLICATOR SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:

Applicator must, at all times during use, wear a Bureau of Mines -approved, 2-stage (charcoal and cotton) paint spray respirator, designed for removal of organic vapors, or a fresh air-supplied type of respirator.

Protective clothing and protective eyewear (goggles) are recommended.

Application: Brush, roller, spray. If spraying, use a standard 1-gallon
   per minute machine using a 24 thousandths tip.
Recommended film thickness:
    • Wet: 16 mils
     • Dry: 8 mils @ 100 sq.ft. / gal. (Apply in 2 coats-- each coat is       applied at 200 sq.ft./gallon to achieve a total of 100 sq.ft. and dry       mils of 8.
Gloss: 85 degrees / 60 degree meter
Can withstand 400 degrees F (205 degrees C)
This is a medium molecular weight resin built with a high-performance,    high-molecular weight cross- linker to provide toughness, acid- and    solvent- resistance
V.O.C. - 3.45 lbs / gal.

COVERAGE RECOMMENDATIONS:

CONCRETE 245 sq.ft. / gallon for 6.5 mils wet / 3.0 dry

 Unless the manufacturer provides a written warranty of fitness for a particular use, the manufacturer's sole warranty is that the product, as supplied, will meet then current sales specifications and is specific only to return of product found to be defective upon opening of container within one year. Customer's exclusive remedy and Superior's sole liability for breach of warranty is limited to refund of the purchase price or replacement of any product shown to be other than as warranted and the manufacturer expressly disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damages.
