Polyurea Specialists

Commercial and Industrial
iCAG uses polyurea material for commercial and industrial applications. Polyurea is used in areas where higher moisture content is present.
Epoxy coating is widely used in many industries. But good quality epoxy is costly and involves a tedious process. In contrast, polyurea coating dries in seconds
and fully cures in 24 hours. Its quick drying characteristic allows the material to be sprayed on walls without dripping or sagging. On floors, the coating is ready for foot traffic in 30 seconds and its flexible quality
gives allowances for earth movement; a benefit that is not easily available in epoxy coating.

|
Some of the applications are:
|
|
• Decks / patios • Floors • Pond / pool linings • Roofing • Sandblasting room
|
• Tanks • Trailers • Underground Pipes • Walk-in freezer floors • Walkways / ramps

Marine and Other Uses
iCAG LINING & COATING material can also protect the steel bottoms of ocean going barges from salt
water and make the hulls easier to maintain. Marine life, algae, etc. cannot attach themselves as readily as they can on painted steel or epoxy coated surfaces.
The greater flexibility of the coating is an added plus, as it far surpasses that of epoxy coatings. Sport fishing boats / yachts benefit
greatly from the watertight protection when applied as a deck coating with non-skid characteristics.

Some of the applications are:
|
|
|
• Amusement park rides • Boats / barges • Outdoor seating • Personal watercraft • Speaker boxes •
Tool boxes / racks • Water and sewage treatment facilities

What Is Polyurea?
Polyurea is a term which has been used for the last 15 or so years to describe a chemical technology based on two component reacted materials. One
component is usually an amine blend and the other component is an isocyanate mixture. The combining of the two components results in very rapid reactions
, which produce, extended chain polymer structures generally in a membranous form. While many of the products based on polyurea technology are used as
coatings like paint, the need for specialized plural component metering/dispensing equipment make the similarities to paint very minor.
Over the past 10 years a number of companies have developed different products
and systems based on the polyurea technology. Systems have found use in construction as sealants and coatings and in other industries for various uses in
manufacture of other products. Each system is somewhat unique and may exhibit different characteristics in application as well as cured properties
